So yesterday, we went horseback riding on the beach. I had this whole picture in my mind of a pretty white beach, a cute little stable on a farm, well-trained horses, along with a nice tour guide that would at least teach us the basics of riding a horse..NOPE

They literally helped us get on the horse, gave us the reins and then walked away.
The only thing the horses knew how to do was run away from the guy coming at them with a whip, other than that, they basically did whatever they wanted. Mine liked to drink water.

We were just hanging out in the water, re-hydrating, perfectly content with life, until this man on a horse comes trotting towards us swinging his whip around. I don’t know what my horse was doing wrong, but I knew for sure that I would rather sit on a horse that isn’t moving than ride an angry horse that has just been whipped. Whip man didn’t care, so me and my horsey took off running. This wasn’t okay considering I don’t know how to ride a horse. I tried to get my horsey to slow down, but he didn’t understand English either.
Here’s whip-man about to attack.

I guess my horsey doesn’t feel pain, because every time the whip guy would leave, he would just venture back to the water.
He was a rebel. Here he is deviating from the group again.

It became routine. We would go in the water, I would see the whip-man trotting towards us and then I would turn around, hang on supa supa hard, and we would take off. It got more and more fun every time haha
Here is whip man about to attack the other Jordan’s horsey.

It was a good thing that my horse just wanted to drink some water, and didn’t want to bathe in it like his did.

They just kind of chilled there for a while until whip man attacked again.

Overall, I don’t think they liked us very much.
Raquel almost got clothes-lined by her horse. He went underneath a pole and she had to lay completely on her back in order to not get hit. And then Emily and Matt’s horses sprinted all the way back to the barn for no apparent reason.
It was a rather strange adventure, but it was memorable.
